The boxes are almost all unpacked and most of the pictures are hung. Green Bank’s new home is one of the “greenest” buildings in Houston–a neat place to bank and work that operates on less resources and was built with sustainable materials.
Built to comply with U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED guidelines, we are in the process of earning a gold rating for lower operating costs, reduction of waste, conservation of energy and water and other sustainable practices. Trend-leading building details include:
• 75% of construction waste was recycled and diverted from landfills
• 90% of occupied space has natural light
• Rainwater is collected on the roof and sent to a cistern for landscape watering
• Designated areas for the collection of recyclable materials
We’ve found the new building a neat place for our customers and us to hang our hat and we love to show it off. If you or your group is interested in a tour, e-mail Mike mbarone [at] greenbank [dot] com.
